Banking Adjudicator:
- Role: Banking Adjudicator
- Start: 13th February 2012
- Duration: 6 Months
- Location: London
- Rate: £205 a day
Key Accountabilities:
- Assess and resolve banking disputes between consumers and financial institutions fairly and efficiently, in accordance with the appropriate processes, rules and guidance.
- Determining cases according to what is fair and reasonable on a case by case basis.
- Consistently achieve objectives set across a broad range of metrics - including quality, operational and financial
- Providing excellent customer service
- Actively manage personal caseload and contribute to the achievement of team objectives
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of case-handling techniques and technical knowledge across all areas of mortgage products and services
Experience & Qualifications Required:
- Proven experience providing excellent customer service is essential, preferably including complaints-handling experience dealing with the public and ideally have experience within settling disputes or the banking area
- Experience within the banking space in particular short term lending
- Financial Services background particularly banking.
- Knowledge of Dispute resolution rules advantageous
- Clear and effective telephone skills when dealing with customers
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to interpret and analyse large volumes of written material and make balanced and well-reasoned decisions.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding of customer needs both verbally and in written communication
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
