Momenta has had the benefit of seeing many ARROW visits, and we have witnessed a remarkable evolution from the initial visits as the FSA has ’sharpened the tips of its arrows‘, and refined its focus.

Whether your business is subject to an ’ARROW-Lite‘ or a full visit, we believe that ARROW visits offer a unique opportunity for you to develop your relationship with your Regulator. Whilst ’desk based monitoring‘ via intelligent use of data and returns is useful, a face-to-face encounter offers an invaluable means of enhancing the understanding of your senior management team as to how a ’compliance culture‘ can best be evolved from a regulatory perspective.

However, to make this encounter as positive as possible, Momenta offer a range of services designed to support your business through the ARROW experience.

From a compliance perspective, before your visit, we offer Regulatory Health checks and ’gap analysis‘. We can also offer preparation for your Senior Management Team, including a briefing session for the Board and other Approved Persons, along with interview preparation and coaching. Post-visit, we can help you to deal with any actions arising from your ARROW letter, including any remedial action, specific project based assignments, and any further investigation work required.

Overall, we believe that recent changes to the ARROW process have resulted in greater proportionality and consistency of standards being applied to organisations undergoing ARROW  visits, and clearer reporting will enable you to apply resources where they will be most effective.
